Wausau Wheelers Member Handbook

Whether you’re new to group riding or have been riding with the Wausau Wheelers for years, the Member Handbook is a useful resource for understanding how we ride together. It covers the basic practices and safety guidelines that help keep our rides enjoyable and safe for everyone, along with expectations for paceline riding, e-bike participation, communication during rides, and what to do if an incident or accident occurs.

The handbook also includes information about membership expectations, circumstances that may result in removal from the club, and requirements for youth participating in Wausau Wheelers rides.

Inside the handbook:

  • Basic practices of group rides
  • Safety guidelines
  • Communication and instruction during rides
  • E-bike guidelines
  • Paceline etiquette
  • What to do when an incident or accident occurs
  • Membership expectations and removal from membership
  • Child on Bike Form and Child on Ride Addendum

Please take a few minutes to review the handbook before participating in club rides. Understanding these guidelines helps everyone—from experienced riders to those new to group cycling—know what to expect and contribute to a safe, welcoming ride experience.
