Big Bull Falls Grand Fondo Event Details

Join us August 29 in Wausau!

Experience the beauty of Central Wisconsin from the saddle at the 5th Annual Big Bull Falls Grand Fondo. Whether you’re tackling your first supported ride or chasing a personal best, you’ll find a route that fits your goals—and a cycling community that’s cheering you on every mile of the way.

Ride Your Way

Choose from 35-, 73-, or 101-mile routes that wind through scenic backroads, rolling countryside, and welcoming communities. This is not a race—it’s your ride. Set your own pace, ride with friends, or push yourself to a new challenge.

For those looking to test their speed, the 101-mile route includes a timed Strava segment with awards for the top finishers.

From the moment you roll out to the finish-line celebration, you’ll enjoy a fully supported ride with well-stocked rest stops, SAG support, clearly marked routes, and a delicious post-ride meal. Our dedicated volunteers are committed to making your day safe, enjoyable, and unforgettable.

When you ride the Big Bull Falls Grand Fondo, you’re doing more than checking another event off your calendar. Proceeds from the ride support Bridge Street Mission and NAMI Northwoods, helping strengthen the Central Wisconsin community we call home.

Ride your challenge. Support your community. Create memories that last long after the finish line.

Don’t Forget Your Grand Fondo Jersey!

If you’d like to commemorate your ride, there’s still time to order an official Big Bull Falls Grand Fondo jersey. It’s a great way to remember your day and show your support for the event all season long.

NEW for 2026:
Additional Timed Strava Challenge Segments

Looking for an extra challenge? Riders tackling the 101-mile Century Route can compete in three timed Strava segments totaling 27.2 miles. Your cumulative time across all three segments will determine your standing, with awards presented to the fastest male and female riders.

The best part? The rest of the ride remains a Gran Fondo—not a race. Outside of the designated Strava segments, enjoy the beautiful Central Wisconsin roads at your own pace, stop at the fully supported rest stops, and ride with friends. Whether you’re chasing a podium finish or simply aiming to complete your first century, you can enjoy the event your way.

To be eligible for awards, riders must record their ride on Strava and complete the official timed segments during the event.
